About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse is key to the success of clinic operations and compassionate patient care in the Urology department. The role is based at 80 East Main St., Canton, NY 13617, and is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing or have an ASN/BSN in Nursing.
- Current licensure in New York State as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Promote and restore patients’ health by completing the nursing process.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
- Perform various treatment procedures.
- Provide physical, educational, and emotional support to patients, friends, and families.
- Supervise assigned team members.
- Administer medication and give and receive relevant written and verbal reports from and to appropriate staff according to departmental protocols.
- Ensure concise, pertinent, and complete documentation using the computerized medical record process.
- Ensure clinical areas are properly supplied and exam rooms are available and stocked.
