About The Position
Works under general supervision to deliver technical nursing care to assigned patients and administer prescribed treatments in accordance with approved nursing procedures. The role may require floating to other units within the practice when needed. The position involves caring for patients across developmental stages from infancy through geriatrics.
Requirements
- Knowledge of pathophysiology, the nursing process, and nursing interventions necessary to deliver technical nursing care.
- Completion of an accredited practical nurse program.
- Current Indiana licensure, awaiting Indiana State Board testing results for Indiana LPN licensure, or eligibility for reciprocity for Indiana licensure.
- BLS certification.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Computer experience.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in providing nursing care to patients.
- Plan appropriate nursing measures based on patients’ short-term needs.
- Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator, reinforce patient education when patients are ready to learn.
- Float to other units within the practice when needed.
- Communicate effectively and establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel.
- Follow Universal Precautions.
- Successfully pass practice-specific competencies.
