About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider. Care is delivered using the nursing process and in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare’s Mission and Vision Statements. The LPN works within the scope of their license and the organization’s policies and procedures, and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The LPN guides ancillary staff and collaborates with other healthcare professionals to provide quality nursing care. The role combines compassion, caring, and appropriate technological competency to provide holistic patient care.

Requirements

Graduate of an LPN program.
LPN state licensure required.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible.
For work in the Emergency Department, ACLS is required.
For work in the Emergency Department, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is required within 180 days.
LPNs new to the specialty must complete applicable certifications within 180 days.

Nice To Haves

Nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applied for preferred.
