About The Position

This position provides care coordination services for patients eligible for the medication assisted therapy program. The LPN will be the primary nursing oversight for the medication assisted therapy program for the inmate population. This nurse will assist the jail health administrator in developing and implementing program policies and procedures related to the service and support for evidence-based treatment of substance use disorders, including opioid use disorder. The role involves overseeing nursing activities, education, and training in providing nursing support services to the inmate population for substance use disorders. The position requires working in a hostile environment with detainees and inmates.

Requirements

  • LPN Licensure required upon hire and for duration of employment.
  • 1 year of nursing experience with an administrative background or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Working knowledge of programs such as Word, Excel, Google Docs.
  • CPR certificate required upon hire and duration of employment.
  • Valid North Carolina driver’s license required upon hire and duration of employment. Out of state driver’s license will be accepted only if the individual is a permanent resident of that state.
  • Must take and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, as well as submit to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing.
