About The Position
Pro Med Healthcare Services is seeking LPNs for PRN shifts in Detox/Behavioral Health in Pembroke Pines, Florida. The role involves providing nursing care to patients receiving detoxification and behavioral health services, including assessment, withdrawal monitoring, medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with the care team. Day and night shifts are available. Pay is $27 to $29 per hour.
Requirements
- Active LPN license in the state of Florida, or a minimum of one year of nursing experience.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
- Strong communication and critical-thinking skills.
- Knowledge of withdrawal management protocols.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in substance use disorder treatment, medical detoxification, stabilization, behavioral health, or psychiatric nursing.
- Experience using KIPU EMR.
- Familiarity with CIWA-Ar and COWS scales.
- Experience in a medical detox or residential treatment setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments and intake evaluations.
- Monitor and assess withdrawal symptoms using CIWA and COWS protocols.
- Administer medications as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and patient status.
- Document care and assessments accurately in KIPU EMR.
- Collaborate with physicians and the clinical team.
- Provide patient education and emotional support.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
