About The Position

The LPN is responsible for providing direct patient quality care to the Geriatric Psychiatric patients in the unit. He/She also functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills.
• Interpersonal skills including customer relations, grammar, reading, and organizational skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing environments.
• Independent nursing skills.
• Degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current certification in licensed practical nursing with the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, lift, balance, sit, kneel, hear, reach, pull, talk, see, turn, carry, push, handle and write.
• Requires reaching above the head, push/pull 15 lbs, lift/carry up to 50 lbs, and lift from floor to waist level.

Nice To Haves

• Pursues programs of Continuing Education meeting the twenty-four (24) hours required per two-year period by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
