About The Position
Specific duties for LPNs include, but are not limited to, maintaining school health records, dispensing medication, managing student care plans, and administering first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees under the supervision of a registered nurse or medical director. BLS required. The competency exam requires an 80% to pass and includes demonstrating clinical skills such as handwashing, vital signs, measuring and documenting intake/output and urinary output, infection prevention and control (hand hygiene, standard precautions, PPE), ADL's, transfers, ambulation with gait belt, positioning and turning, range of motion exercises, and observation and reporting of changes in condition, as well as documentation of care provided and communication with residents and the healthcare team.
