About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a civilian LPN at Nellis Air Force Base, in Las Vegas Nevada. This position is in an outpatient environment with updated facilities, offering freedom from on-call responsibilities and an emphasis on work-life balance. The role serves a compliant and appreciative patient population, providing an opportunity to give back and care for our Nation's military and their dependents. The clinical scope includes providing outpatient health care to qualifying beneficiaries as scheduled by the Government, covering continuing, comprehensive health maintenance and medical care for the entire family. This includes a program of comprehensive health for the family unit, preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health. The LPN will be responsible for a regularly appointed clinic, compatible with workload, and provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems. This involves collecting and recording medical and social historical data, performing general physical examinations, and managing TRICARE health benefits.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen
  • Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Three years of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation.
  • Hands on experience for the last 12 months within the past 12 months
  • BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Maintain a LPN license and practice from US jurisdiction

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient health care to qualifying beneficiaries as scheduled by the Government.
  • Provide continuing, comprehensive health maintenance and medical care to the entire family regardless of sex, age, or type of problem.
  • Maintain a program of comprehensive health for the family unit, to include preventive medicine, behavioral sciences, and community health.
  • Be responsible for a regularly appointed clinic, compatible with workload, and in addition, provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur.
  • Collect and record, in proper format, medical and social historical data appropriate to the patient's condition.
  • Perform a general physical examination.
