About The Position

The LPN Unit Manager will be responsible for infection control, staff supervision, resident care documentation, and ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment. This role is crucial in upholding the high standards of care provided by Caldera Care.

Requirements

  • Current LPN license without any enforcement action against it.
  • BLS Certified.
  • Knowledge of rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
  • Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one year in a supervisory role in a Skilled Nursing Setting.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all infection control monitoring, tracking, and prevention.
  • Ensure areas are maintained and clean.
  • Make daily work assignments for employees, prepare written evaluations, provide disciplinary actions as needed, handle employee complaints, provide training and education.
  • Monitor supplies and order as needed.
  • Receive and transcribe orders to resident charts as written by MD/PA/ARNP.
  • Ensure timely documentation of MAR/TAR and progress notes.
  • Assess and implement care plans for all residents.
  • Assist with all new admission orders.
  • Perform any other tasks as directed by the DON.
