About The Position

HCA Florida Ocala Hospital is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide safe, high-quality, patient-centered nursing care. The role supports patients with complex needs in a high-acuity environment and works with registered nurses, providers, and specialists to help stabilize patients and support their recovery.

Requirements

Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN).
Associate degree or vocational school graduate.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (AHA) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
IV Therapy must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
No experience required.
No travel required.

Responsibilities

Provide focused nursing care for patients with complex needs, including administering medications, managing lines or drains, and assisting with cardiac monitoring or respiratory support.
Observe patients for changes in condition, including changes in heart rhythm, oxygen levels, or neurological signs, and promptly escalate concerns.
Document timely and accurate updates to support care-team coordination.
Help patients and families understand complex conditions and recovery steps.
Work with RNs, providers, and specialists to stabilize patients and guide them from intensive care toward recovery.
