LPN SPECIALIST OR MEDICAL ASSISTANT SPECIALIST - SLEEP CENTER - PART TIME

About The Position
This is a part-time position for an LPN Specialist or Medical Assistant Specialist in a Sleep Center. The ideal candidate will be an LPN or a Medical Assistant.
Requirements
- For LPN Specialist: Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
- For LPN Specialist: Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- For Medical Assistant Specialist: High school diploma or GED.
- For Medical Assistant Specialist: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years.
- For Medical Assistant Specialist: Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- For Medical Assistant Specialist: Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.
Nice To Haves
- For LPN Specialist: Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- For Medical Assistant Specialist: 1 Year experience in primary care setting.
Responsibilities
- Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
- Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
- Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
- Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records.
- Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
- Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
- Maintain the integrity of the office.
