About The Position

The ideal candidate needs to be an LPN or a Medical Assistant. This role provides basic medical and nursing care, ensures patient comfort, discusses healthcare with patients, and reports patient status to registered nurses and providers.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing (for LPN role).
  • Must possess active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (for LPN role).
  • High school diploma or GED (for Medical Assistant role).
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant work experience within the last 2 years (for Medical Assistant role).
  • Medical Assistant Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment (for Medical Assistant role).
  • Current BLS certification or to be completed within first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or training in a medical health care facility as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and evaluates patient needs by way of telephone triage.
  • Administers medication including injections; documents medication given or prescribed by ordering physician as required.
  • Identifies patient and family education needs and provides instruction.
  • Recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Adheres to the Clinical Services policies and procedures when documenting information patient’s medical records.
  • Facilitates the flow of patients to maintain the integrity of the physician’s office.
  • Assists the physician with medical office procedures.
  • Maintain the integrity of the office.
