About The Position
Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide private duty nursing services to students with documented health needs at school in Maryland. The ideal candidate will provide continuous student-specific nursing support during the school day and related activities.
Requirements
- Active Maryland LPN license
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
Nice To Haves
- Pediatric, school nursing, or private duty nursing experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one nursing care in accordance with the student’s Plan of Care
- Accompany and monitor assigned student throughout the school day and transportation when required
- Administer medications and ordered treatments
- Support health needs such as tube feeding, catheterization, suctioning, oxygen support, diabetic monitoring, and other physician-ordered care within scope
- Communicate with school staff, families, and health care providers as appropriate
- Maintain accurate service and health documentation
- Any other duties as assigned within scope
