About The Position
Provide first aid and address sudden illnesses or injuries during the school day. Safely dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines. Assist with one-on-one student needs like tube feedings, catheterizations, or tracheostomy care. Administer vaccines. Document daily visits, treatments, and medication logs in electronic health databases. Help conduct routine student health checks, such as vision and hearing screenings. Act quickly during health emergencies using CPR, AED, and first aid protocols.
Requirements
- Completion of a formal education program in practical nursing
- Active and unencumbered LPN MA license.
- Valid CPR and AED certifications.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in pediatric, clinical, or school nursing is usually preferred.
