About The Position

Quest, Inc. is seeking LPNs or RNs for a part-time night position every Friday, Saturday, or Sunday from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. This role requires full availability on the selected day(s) each week, with no alternating weekends off. The position focuses on promoting optimal health for clients with developmental disabilities, administering medications and treatments, assisting with medical devices, monitoring client health, and completing all required documentation.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Active unrestricted license as Registered Nurse/ Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Florida
  • Experience in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Effectively communicate at all levels, write, and speak English
  • Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship now or in the future
  • Full availability each week for the days they express interest in.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with nursing policies and procedures to ensure nursing standards are met.
  • Promote optimal health for clients.
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician’s orders and in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Administer medications via all routes, including controlled substances.
  • Assist clients with all health and medical devices, including but not limited to glasses, hearing devices, tracheotomies, G/J tubes, colostomies, urostomies, apnea monitors, CPAP machines, ventilators, oxygen, oxygen concentrators, nebulizer machines, suction devices, suctioning toothbrushes, etc.
  • Monitor clients for seizures, medication side effects, signs and symptoms of illness, and provide necessary nursing interventions.
  • Inform Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing and /or physician of health status change/accidents, and injuries of clients.
  • Notify Director or Nursing or Health Care Coordinator of emergency situations.
  • Complete all required documentation including but not limited to assessments, nurses’ notes, tracking forms, charting, incident reports, monthly/quarterly reports, etc.
  • Assist with quality assurance reviews and file documents in charts when requested.
  • Complete medication validation and documentation as required by APD (65G-7) guidelines.
  • Assist with Respiratory Therapy and IV Therapy as needed to include pushing IV medications and mixing of IV medications.
  • Assist with clinical evaluations and assessment of medication administration and /or understanding of medical procedures of clients.
  • Ensure client’s mealtime procedures and therapeutic positioning procedures, including client transfers, are followed.
