About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care and clinical oversight within the Health Care Center skilled nursing environment. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality resident care, administering medications and treatments, supervising nursing support staff, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and care standards. We are seeking experienced nurses who are confident in their clinical judgment and comfortable working in a skilled nursing setting. Candidates should have prior hands-on nursing experience beyond clinical rotations or newly obtained licensure. Requirements

  • Current Kansas LPN or RN license in good standing
  • Previous nursing experience required
  • CPR certification required
  • Must meet pre-employment health screening and vaccination requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Skilled nursing, long-term care, rehab, or post-acute experience strongly preferred
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans
  • Administer medications, treatments, and physician orders accurately and safely
  • Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes appropriately to physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members
  • Supervise and support CNAs and CMAs during assigned shifts
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
  • Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs, emergencies, and changes in condition
  • Ensure compliance with infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in shift report, care conferences, and interdisciplinary communication
  • Foster a positive, compassionate, and resident-centered environment
