About The Position
Rosewood Rehab and Healthcare Center is seeking a Wound Care Nurse/ RN (WCC, WOCN) to join their team in Independence, Missouri. This full-time position focuses on providing direct nursing care, completing wound treatments, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, and coordinating with wound care providers. The role also involves educating staff on wound care and prevention, medication administration, and documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum Experience: One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Nice To Haves
- Some wound care experience preferred.
- Certification preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization and the state of Missouri.
- Complete wound treatments for residents in skilled nursing facility.
- Implement and monitor patient care plans.
- Monitor, record and communicate resident condition.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
- Coordinate with wound care providers, oversee nursing staff wound treatments.
- Provide resident specific education to CNAs and nurses for wound care and prevention.
- Medication administration, documentation, overseeing residents’ care, and implementation of schedules for residents.
