About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will focus on providing high-level patient-centered care in a physician office setting. Responsibilities include measuring and recording vital signs, preparing patients for exams/procedures, assisting healthcare providers, maintaining medical supply inventory, and stocking exam rooms. The LPN will also administer medications, process patient phone calls, instruct patients on health care and treatments, and report patient health status to providers. The LPN may be required to float to other UFHP practices as needed. The Registered Nurse (RN) will possess specialized knowledge and skills to provide patient-centric care in a physician's office setting. Responsibilities include clinical nursing assessment, acting as a patient care advocate, providing support, counseling, and education to patients. The RN will be responsible for patient case management and/or performing specialized procedures. The RN will work collaboratively with other healthcare providers and ancillary services, direct clinical staff, and maintain regulatory institutional policies and procedures under the direction of the Manager/Medical Director. The RN may be required to float to other UFHP practices as needed.

Requirements

  • Licensed LPN eligible to practice in the State of Florida
  • Current licensure by the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse
  • AHA or Red Cross Basic Life Support (CPR) is required or must be obtained within first 90 days of employment
  • Must maintain current Basic Life Support (CPR)
  • Must successfully complete medication test within 30 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support certification required or obtained within the first month of employment
  • BLS certification must be obtained through AHA or Red Cross

Nice To Haves

  • One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred (for LPN)
  • One year of specialty experience or two years of ambulatory care or hospital-based experience preferred (for RN)
