About The Position
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on the Women’s Health team, you're embracing a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier®. The Women’s Clinic is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with a variety of cardiovascular conditions. The team of providers, nurses and clinical staff work collaboratively to support patients through prevention, diagnosis and ongoing management of heart health. Requirements
- Current North Carolina state or compact state LPN license
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
- Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions within scope
- Assists providers with examinations, procedures and patient care
- Provides patient education related to cardiac health, medications and treatment plans
- Performs timely and appropriate documentation in the medical record
- Coordinates patient care, including scheduling, referrals and follow-up care
- Maintains a safe and clean clinical environment
