About The Position
Castor Home Health Solutions is hiring an RN or LPN to provide 1:1 nursing care for a young child in Rantoul, IL. The primary role involves attending school with the patient. When school is not in session or the child needs to remain home, nursing care will be provided in the family’s home. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule without nights or weekends, focusing on a single patient assignment. The role requires proficiency in tracheostomy and G-tube care due to the child's skilled airway and nutritional support needs.
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN or LPN license
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Proficiency in tracheostomy and G-tube care
- A dependable and compassionate approach to care
- Comfort working one-on-one with a young pediatric patient
Responsibilities
- Tracheostomy care and airway monitoring
- G-tube care and feedings as ordered
- Medication administration and treatments
- Monitoring your patient’s condition throughout the shift
- Communicating with the family, school staff, and Castor clinical team
- Completing required nursing documentation
- Providing compassionate and dependable 1:1 care
