About The Position

Balfour Senior Living in Louisville, CO at Cherrywood Village is seeking a talented, team-oriented LPN Resident Care Manager to join their family. This role directs, coordinates, and supervises care services provided by care associates for residents within the Assisted Living Department, ensuring exemplary service with integrity, dignity, and compassion. The position may involve medication control and coordination with physicians to ensure care and medications are delivered as directed, focusing on resident independence and overall well-being.

Requirements

  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is Required
  • High school graduate required
  • One to three years’ experience working in senior care
  • Must have or be able to obtain the appropriate State license required by law if required
  • CPR Certified preferred
  • Basic competency in the use of multiple forms of technology, including Microsoft Office applications, internet-based and custom software
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and evaluating assigned residents and regularly assessing levels of care.
  • Assisting residents with simple requests or finding appropriate associates to assist.
  • Learning and understanding resident preferences to provide exemplary customer service.
  • Supervising departmental operations on a day-to-day basis under the guidance of the department director or Executive Director.
  • Responding in a tactful and timely manner to residents, family members, and staff.
  • Supervising resident medication programs.
  • Monitoring all physician orders and ensuring they are followed timely and accurately.
  • Reviewing resident reports and documentation to ensure all care services have been delivered.
  • Assessing residents utilizing the company’s resident care software system.
  • Managing emergency situations responsibly and calmly until aid arrives.
  • Assisting with scheduling for Care associates or care conferences.
  • Communicating the company vision and strategy to create alignment between daily activities and company strategy.
  • Managing direct reports schedules and time-cards.
  • Reviewing payroll documentation to minimize missed punches, monitor overtime, and manage labor costs.
  • Working as part of the team within the department and across the community.
  • Conducting or assisting with regular staff and daily stand-up meetings.
  • Planning, preparing, and monitoring daily work schedules to meet labor targets.
  • Planning and preparing assignment sheets for Resident Assistants.
  • Managing own and team’s resident confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Interviewing, hiring, training, managing, and retaining highly effective associates.
  • Coaching, mentoring, team-building, performance management, recognition, and professional development of associates.
  • Identifying and developing top talent for future succession opportunities.
  • Setting an example and expectation of open and honest communication.
  • Taking a pro-active approach to look for ways to increase efficiency and potentially reduce costs.
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and reporting any issues or concerns immediately.
  • Ensuring team’s adherence to all regulations, laws, and Kisco standards.
  • Understanding, supporting, and assisting as needed in the community sales process.
  • Performing other related duties as required.
