LPN Pediatric School Nurse – 1:1 Care
About The Position
At Castor Home Health Solutions, we are looking for a compassionate LPN to provide meaningful 1:1 care for a pre-teen child during the school day. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys pediatric care, school-day hours, and the chance to build a trusted relationship with one child and family. The shift begins at 6:30 AM in the home, where the nurse will help with morning care before accompanying the child to school. The nurse will remain with the child throughout the school day and return home with them afterward. The end time is flexible once the child has returned home. This case offers consistent hours, a supportive family-centered environment, and the opportunity to make a real difference while still enjoying a daytime schedule.
Requirements
- Active Illinois LPN license
- CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
- Compassionate, dependable nurses
- Nurses who enjoy building relationships and providing consistent care

- No pediatric home care experience? We provide paid training in trachs, vents, G/J tubes, and more so you feel confident and supported before working independently.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 skilled nursing care in the home and school setting
- Attend school with the child and provide care throughout the day
- Monitor vitals, administer medications, and perform treatments as ordered
- Support the child and family through compassionate, dependable care
- Complete simple real-time charting during your shift
