About The Position

Supervised by a Registered Nurse, Physician, or licensed Advanced Practice Provider (APP), the LPN provides guides patients through the ambulatory visit process and ensures care is of the highest quality, delivered in the most efficient manner. The LPN is part of the clinical team maintaining the flow of the provider schedules during patient care sessions, minimizing patient wait time whenever possible. The LPN provides assistance to providers for patient care follow up needs. The LPN may participate in phone calls and/or in person visits with patients to document symptoms, questions, or concerns. This information will be relayed to the RN or provider for the determination of any action needed. The triage of care situations is the responsibility of the RN or provider; scheduling of acute care appointments can be facilitated by the LPN.

Requirements

  • Fulfilled the educational requirements to be an LPN in NYS
  • Current NYS LPN license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Must be a team player
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Basic computer literacy skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year LPN experience preferred
  • Ambulatory or women’s health experience preferred
