The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing nursing care to patients who present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems. The LPN utilizes knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics and participates in the organization and management of the physician's practice. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides expert professional nursing care, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care rendered to patients with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems, and participates in the management of the department.
