About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing nursing care to patients who present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems. The LPN utilizes knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics and participates in the organization and management of the physician's practice. The Registered Nurse (RN) provides expert professional nursing care, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the care rendered to patients with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems, and participates in the management of the department. This document is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed. Requirements

  • Current Kentucky state licensure required (for LPN)
  • Current state licensure required (for RN)
  • Basic life support and CPR certifications (for LPN)
  • CPR certificate (for RN)
  • Formal training which will be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited LPN school of nursing (for LPN)
  • Formal training that will be indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited RN school of nursing (for RN)
  • Ability to monitor patient condition (for LPN)
  • Ability to communicate effectively (for RN)
  • Ability to work compatibly with physicians and other staff members (for RN)

Nice To Haves

  • IV certification (for LPN)
  • Minimum two years broad experience with emphasis in medical office duties (for LPN)
  • Good verbal communication skills (for LPN)
  • Experience in clinic-based nursing (for RN)
  • Dedication to patient satisfaction (for RN)
