About The Position

Team Recovery is an addiction treatment center dedicated to supporting individuals affected by substance use and mental health disorders. We offer a full continuum of care, including inpatient detox, residential treatment, outpatient services, and recovery housing, designed to meet people where they are in their recovery journey. We're a new approach to an old problem. The primary nursing responsibilities would involve providing care and support to clients who are undergoing treatment for substance use disorders. The role of the nurse is crucial in helping clients through the detoxification and recovery process while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Requirements

  • Completion of LPN program required, certificate or diploma is required.
  • Valid LPN or RN license in the State of Ohio.
  • BLS certification required.
  • 1 or more years of experience in recovery and/or behavioral health.

Nice To Haves

  • will train upon hire for BLS certification.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess client health conditions, including withdrawal symptoms, physical and mental well-being.
  • Assist with managing and monitoring clients during the detoxification process, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by medical providers in an inpatient setting.
  • Provide education to clients regarding medication management, detoxification processes, relapse prevention and recovery strategies.
  • Work with medical providers, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Respond to emergencies and crises within the facility, such as code blue, overdose situations, or clients experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms.
  • Provide immediate medical care and interventions to stabilize clients and ensure their safety.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including client assessments, medication administration records, and progress notes.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards related to client confidentiality and record-keeping.
  • Offer emotional support and guidance to clients and their families throughout the recovery process.
  • Help clients develop coping skills, set goals for recovery, and navigate challenges they may face during treatment.
  • Act as a client advocate, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met, and that their dignity and privacy are respected.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in addiction and mental health treatment.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines, including infection control protocols, to ensure a safe environment for both staff and patients.
  • Other duties as assigned within the medical/nursing department.
