About The Position

Quest, Inc. is seeking a full-time LPN or RN for overnight shifts. This role is crucial in enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing a path to independence, community inclusion, and empowerment. The schedule is fixed: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. This is the only schedule available. The pay rate for an LPN is $31.50/hour and for an RN is $37.50/hour.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) or Registered Nurses (RN)
  • Active unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida
  • Experience in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Experience with specific medical equipment or procedures
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, write, and speak English
  • Reliable transportation
  • Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship now or in the future

Responsibilities

  • Comply with nursing policies and procedures to ensure nursing standards are met and promote optimal health for clients.
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician’s orders and in accordance with state and federal guidelines, including controlled substances via all routes without restriction.
  • Assist clients with all health and medical devices, including but not limited to glasses, hearing devices, tracheotomies, G/J tubes, colostomies, urostomies, apnea monitors, CPAP machines, ventilators, oxygen, oxygen concentrators, nebulizer machines, suction devices, and suctioning toothbrushes.
  • Monitor clients for seizures, medication side effects, signs and symptoms of illness, and provide necessary nursing interventions.
  • Inform Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing and/or physician of health status changes, accidents, and injuries of clients. Notify Director of Nursing or Health Care Coordinator of emergency situations.
  • Complete all required documentation, including assessments, nurses’ notes, tracking forms, charting, incident reports, and monthly/quarterly reports.
  • Assist with quality assurance reviews and file documents in charts when requested.
  • Complete medication validation and documentation as required by APD (65G-7) guidelines.
  • Assist with Respiratory Therapy and IV Therapy as needed, including pushing and mixing IV medications.
  • Assist with clinical evaluations and assessment of medication administration and/or understanding of medical procedures of clients.
  • Ensure client’s mealtime procedures and therapeutic positioning procedures, including client transfers, are followed.
