This role involves leading and supporting the nursing team in delivering high-quality cardiovascular patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The Team Leader will oversee daily nursing operations, staffing coordination, workflow efficiency, and patient care processes. Collaboration with physicians, clinical staff, and leadership is key to ensuring excellent patient outcomes and operational success. The position requires ensuring compliance with clinical standards, documentation requirements, HIPAA regulations, and quality initiatives. The Team Leader will also serve as a mentor and resource for nursing staff, promoting professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Current, unencumbered Louisiana LPN or RN license.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced cardiovascular or specialty clinic environment.
  • Leadership abilities with experience supervising, mentoring, or guiding team members.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and critical thinking skills.
  • Commitment to accurate documentation, patient advocacy, teamwork, and high standards of care.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Experience with EMR systems and maintaining compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the nursing team in delivering high-quality cardiovascular patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, documentation requirements, HIPAA regulations, and quality initiatives.
  • Serve as a mentor and resource for nursing staff while promoting professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting positive patient experiences and outcomes.
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team culture that supports efficient clinic operations and exceptional care delivery.
  • Lead by example through effective communication, clinical excellence, and adherence to best practices.
  • Support quality improvement and Lean initiatives to enhance workflow, patient satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Help develop and mentor nursing staff through coaching, education, onboarding, and ongoing professional support.
