About The Position

Are you an LPN or RN looking for an Administrative role that works Monday- Friday, 8 AM- 5 PM? If so, this could be the role for you! JOB SUMMARY The LPN provides professional nursing care for assigned patients. This nurse works under the direct supervision of an RN to collaborate in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Provides age specific care as appropriate to area assigned. The LPN is responsible for maintaining the standards of practice; complying with established policy and procedure; managing supplies and equipment; and promoting collaboration with medical and other staff. The LPN will participate in supporting the facility's mission statement, achieving customer satisfaction, and identifying system problems as opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current Georgia license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Communication Skills
  • Interpersonal Skills
  • Customer Relations
  • Read / Comprehend Written Instructions
  • Follow Verbal Instructions
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Have near normal vision - Clarity of vision (both near and far), ability to distinguish colors
  • Have good - manual dexterity and eye-hand-foot coordination
  • Ability to perform - repetitive tasks/motion

Nice To Haves

  • 1 - 2 years Practical Nursing Experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Crisis Response Training required within 2 months of hire (Required for Behavioral Health Employees)

Responsibilities

  • Maintains current knowledge in present areas of responsibility (i.e., self education, attends ongoing educational programs).
  • Attends staff meetings and completes mandatory in-services and requirements and competency evaluations on time.
  • Demonstrates competency at all levels in providing care to all patients based on age, sex, weight, and demonstrated needs.
  • For non-clinical areas, has attended training and demonstrates usage of age- specific customer service skills.
  • Wears protective clothing and equipment as appropriate.
