About The Position
Performs Phlebotomy, EKG's, and medication administration including IM and IV Hydration, IVIG, Iron and blood products as ordered. Obtains vital signs and records medical history and treatments in EMR. Assist with gynecologic exams, biopsies, interventions and sterilization of instruments including setting up sterile fields for procedures. Educates patients in oncology as required.
Requirements
- NYS Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- BLS provider by the American Heart Association.
- Proficiency in Phlebotomy and 12 lead EKG, with a minimum of one year experience.
Nice To Haves
- Medical Oncology experience.
- Experience with setting sterile fields and assisting with gynecological procedures including sterilization of surgical instrumentation.
- Experience in Cerner Power chart.
