Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Minnesota required.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy.
Ability to understand patients’ medical records, physician orders and medication orders to be communicated to the patient and staff.
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with one of the following: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistant (NCMA).
Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy.
Ability to understand patients’ medical records, physician orders and medication orders to be communicated to the patient and staff.

Responsibilities

Deliver patient-focused rooming for various types of clinic visits.
Communicate results and other relevant medical information to patients and providers.
Ensure the day-to-day activities of the clinic are completed efficiently and on time.
Assist with procedures within scope of practice.
Administer medications/injections/immunizations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
