About The Position

Adena Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (MA) for their Orthopedics department. This is a full-time, day shift position. The role involves providing direct patient care, administrative functions, and collaborating with the healthcare team in a clinical setting. The LPN will work under the supervision of an RN, physician, or APP, utilizing fundamental to advanced clinical skills. The MA will work under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional, also providing direct patient care and administrative support. Both roles are expected to uphold organizational values of compassion, excellence, integrity, and trust, contributing to optimal patient outcomes and efficient clinic operations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing (for LPNs).
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required (for LPNs).
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (for MAs).
  • Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) (for MAs).
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar capacity preferred (for LPNs).
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a medical office or similar capacity (for MAs).

Nice To Haves

  • Medical Office experience (for LPNs).

Responsibilities

  • Provides nursing care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or advanced practice provider (APP).
  • Delivers safe, patient-centered care in compliance with established clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Utilizes fundamental clinical skills and applies moderate to advanced-complexity clinical skills and knowledge in daily practice.
  • Performs direct patient care.
  • Handles administrative functions.
  • Actively collaborates with the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Upholds the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Provides compassionate, respectful, and effective care.
  • Adheres to the scope of practice outlined by the Ohio Board of Nursing (for LPNs).
  • Works under the direct supervision of a licensed healthcare professional (for MAs).
  • Provides administrative support (for MAs).
