About The Position
Sentara is hiring a LPN for Sentara Neuro IMCU at Sentara Norfolk General, in Norfolk, Virginia. Sign on Bonus up to $8,000 offered for qualified candidates. Shift: Full Time, Night shift (7p-7a) Unit Overview: The Neuro IMCU is a blended unit focusing on all neuro patients, including stroke patients, back and neck post-surgical patients, and has one of the few Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) in the area. We provide highly skilled care to the following types of neuroscience patients : Back and Neck surgical patients Epilepsy patients All neurosurgeries (brain, pituitary, etc.) Stroke patients (surgical and non-surgical) Join our team today! Overview The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing. The LPN must be detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to handle physically demanding tasks. The LPN is an essential member of the healthcare team offering patient care and supporting higher level nurse and physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services.
Requirements
- LPN Degree REQUIRED
- Virginia LPN License REQUIRED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90-days of hire
