About The Position

At Easterseals PORT Health, we’re seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Outpatient Clinic in New Bern, NC. As an integral part of our collaborative and supportive team, you will work alongside a team of professionals, all committed to transforming the lives of individuals seeking assistance for substance use. The primary purpose of the Nurse is to provide patients with services including screening, medication/prescription management, assisting the treatment team, treatment after-care, and referral services. This position will provide medication and medical assistance to mental health and substance abuse clients as well as offer guidance to Medical Assistant. This position will work in collaboration with other clinical professionals to facilitate positive outcomes for our clients. The nursing professional maintains accurate and up to date medical documentation and client medication logs in addition to assisting other staff members in maintaining a therapeutic and healthy clinical environment for all clients.

Requirements

  • An active, unrestricted Nursing License to practice in North Carolina (LPN).
  • Proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance and reliable transportation for work-related travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior mental health experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities
