About The Position

Park Nicollet is hiring LPNs, Medical Assistants, and EMTs to join its Primary Care team. The role supports patient care and contributes to the care and experience patients and their families receive. Duties include rooming patients, documenting visit information and vital signs, preparing and administering medications and immunizations as directed, and performing or assisting with clinical procedures and treatments. The position also involves completing standard rooming processes and following applicable laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

• Maintain BLS certification for health professionals through the American Heart Association or Red Cross; online BLS certification is not accepted.
• Meet one of the following qualification pathways:
• LPN: Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing and maintain a current state practical nursing license.
• Medical Assistant: Graduate from a Medical Assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES).
• EMT: Graduate from an accredited EMT program and hold a current Minnesota EMT license.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of healthcare experience, preferably in a related field of medicine.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and document visit information and vital signs, including height, weight, and blood pressure.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by a clinician or RN, or in accordance with standing orders.
• Perform and assist with procedures and treatments as directed by a clinician, such as ear lavage, EKGs, and bladder scans.
• Complete standard rooming components, including medication reconciliation and pending refills, allergy review, immunization reconciliation, and appropriate forms and questionnaires supporting clinical quality.
• Maintain knowledge of and comply with relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
