About The Position

A Developmental Disability LPN is a specialized LPN who provides medical and behavioral care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This position is located in Springboro, OH, and the current hours are 8:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m., Sunday through Friday, overnight. The role can alternate 3 nights with an RN.

Requirements

  • LPN license
  • Experience providing medical and behavioral care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
  • Ability to administer medications
  • Ability to manage medical equipment (like feeding tubes)
  • Ability to monitor chronic conditions
  • Ability to develop Individualized Service Plans (ISP's)
  • Ability to coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (doctors, occupational therapists, speech pathologists)
  • Ability to advocate for patients' rights and accommodations
  • Ability to educate family members
  • Ability to supervise Direct Support Professionals (DSP's)

Responsibilities

  • Administering medications, managing medical equipment (like feeding tubes), and monitoring chronic conditions.
  • Developing Individualized Service Plans (ISP's) and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, including doctors, occupational therapists, and speech pathologists.
  • Protecting the rights of patients and ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations in schools, workplaces, and healthcare settings.
  • Educating family members and supervising Direct Support Professionals (DSP's) who assist with daily living tasks.
