This position involves providing direct patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a family practice setting. The role includes rooming patients, collecting assessment data, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting care in the medical record. Responsibilities extend to assisting with examinations and treatments, administering medications and injections, reviewing physician orders, and coordinating patient referrals. The LPN will also perform laboratory procedures, answer patient inquiries, and ensure documentation meets standards of care. This role supports clinic projects, nursing initiatives, and assists with survey preparation. The LPN will administer medications and nursing interventions within their scope of practice, reinforce patient teaching, and provide basic healthcare instruction. Additional duties include performing EKGs, simple lab tests, venipuncture, and participating in Quality Assurance and Improvement (QA & I). The role also involves ordering and maintaining supplies.
