About The Position

Performs and documents selected tasks, including administration of treatments and medications, in the delivery of patient care under the guidance and discretion of the registered nurse. Assists the registered nurse in collecting health data according to established policies. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to support effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization’s vision and mission and incorporates knowledge of patients’ ages and cultural diversity into care. Contributes to quality nursing care through excellent customer service and performance-improvement techniques that demonstrate positive patient-care outcomes.

Requirements

• Graduate of a state-approved vocational/practical nursing program.
• Current license as an LPN in the State of Florida.
• Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS), current for at least 90 days after the hire date.
• Completion of a 30-hour IV course.
• Successful completion of the competency assessment.
• Communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of LPN experience preferred.
