The LPN-Dover Center Manager is responsible to the Operations Director for the day-to-day operations of the assigned center(s) or service(s). This role involves hiring and supervising all center staff, developing and implementing operational procedures in consultation with the Medical Services Administration team, and supervising the daily delivery of patient services. This responsibility extends to both Family Planning and Medical/Surgical Abortion Services. All duties are performed in a professional, efficient, and customer-service-oriented manner, complying with PPDE's Manual of Medical Standards and Guidelines, PPDE policies and procedures, and local, State, and Federal regulations. The manager models a positive approach, excellent customer service skills, and handles all service-related complaints. They oversee employees, systems, services, and facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, including OSHA, CLIA, Title X, and others. The position also functions in the delegated role of Lab Supervisor, overseeing the on-site laboratory operations and ensuring staff proficiency according to CLIA standards. Human resource management includes hiring, training, supervising, coaching, disciplining, and evaluating staff. The manager is responsible for managing the delivery of patient care, including scheduling, staff assignments, patient flow, and emergency management. They identify and resolve problems, propose responses to developing trends, and optimize the patient experience. The role promotes a high-quality clinical environment that is efficient, responsive, user-friendly, and cost-effective, ensuring the center is clean and organized. Efficient center flow is maintained through planning and implementing patient and staff scheduling, ensuring availability of supplies and equipment, and troubleshooting issues. The manager regularly analyzes and modifies operational systems to maximize efficiency and productivity while promoting high-quality customer service and care. They develop staff into a high-functioning, cost-effective team and collaborate with other supervisors and managers for adequate coverage. Budget planning, monitoring expenses, and completing reports are also key responsibilities. The manager provides guidance for fee determination, ensures adequate stock of supplies and equipment, and oversees compliance with state reporting. They are responsible for center logs, conducting environmental rounding, and participating in agency in-service, professional, and community education activities. Staying informed about family planning methods, abortion issues, and PPDE services is essential. The role involves completing center audits and maintaining benchmark compliance. The manager must abide by the mission of PPDE and perform other duties as assigned.
