About The Position

This part-time LPN position involves administering vaccinations and immunizations, conducting patient health screenings (blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol), educating patients on preventive health, and accurately documenting screening results. The role requires using the nursing process for patient care, collaborating with the healthcare team, evaluating patient responses to interventions, and accepting delegated nursing measures for which the LPN is qualified. The position is located at 333 E Miller Drive, Bloomington, IN. 47401.

Requirements

• Graduation from a nationally accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) LPN license.
• Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Successful completion of orientation.

Nice To Haves

• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations and immunizations.
• Conduct patient health screenings, including blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol screenings.
• Educate patients on preventive health measures and wellness initiatives.
• Accurately document screening results and communicate findings as appropriate.
• Use the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to individual patients.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team.
• Evaluate response to interventions and patient status toward goal achievement.
• Accept delegated nursing measures for which he or she knows he or she is prepared, qualified and licensed to perform.
