The LPN or CMA is responsible for providing direct or indirect nursing care to patients who are present with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems. This role involves understanding and adhering to OSHA requirements for workplace safety, cleaning equipment and rooms, rooming patients, gathering intake and documentation in the EHR system, preparing patients for exams, recording health histories, assisting physicians with procedures, screening calls, documenting patient interactions, assisting with setting up procedures, maintaining stock rooms, handling infectious waste, ordering prescriptions, notifying facilities of physician orders, maintaining supply inventories, completing compliance training, and performing special projects.
