LPN: Assists medical provider in the care and treatment of patients with a variety of illnesses. Initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures; maintain patient records; and select, assemble, check, and operate equipment. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patient for examination, and administering medication as directed by provider. CMA: Provides accurate and timely information to visitors and callers. Responsibilities include pre-certifying with insurance companies, filing, scheduling, maintaining records in the Electronic Medical Record system, processing patient specimens, and direct patient care. This role assists providers with office procedures. Administrative tasks include scheduling appointments, billing, coding, and maintaining medical records. Clinical duties include taking and recording vital signs, documenting medical histories, preparing patients for exams, drawing blood, and administering medications under physician or advanced practice provider direction. Adaptability to varied tasks is essential.
