LPN - Clinical Intake Coordinator
About The Position
Bishop Spencer Place, Kansas City’s premier non-profit Life Care retirement community, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join the team in the Clinical Intake Coordinator role. This role facilitates the long-term care and rehabilitation process by receiving referrals, performing initial evaluations for appropriateness under various insurance regulations, determining the need for additional information, communicating acceptance or decline of referrals, and processing accepted referrals. The position also supports clinically related marketing activities and involves an on-call rotation for referral management. This position may require local travel.
Requirements
- 2 years Licensed Practical Nurse experience

Responsibilities
- Receiving referrals from multiple referral sources within and without the St. Lukes Health System.
- Performing initial evaluation of referral for long-term care and rehabilitation appropriateness under Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance regulations.
- Determining the need for additional information from referral sources.
- Communicating agency acceptance or decline of referral to varied referral sources.
- Processing accepted referrals.
- Supporting clinically related Marketing activities.
- On-call rotation for referral management.
