About The Position

Dayton Physicians Network is looking to add an LPN to our independently owned Urology practice. The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care, assists physician and practitioners with patient care, administrative, environmental and organizational tasks. The schedule offers work/life balance with options for 4-10 hour shifts or 5-8 hour shifts, with no weekends, evenings, or holidays.

Requirements

Active LPN license in the state(s) of practice
One (1) year of previous experience as an LPN
Current CPR certification, if not it must be obtained within 60 days of employment and kept current thereafter

Nice To Haves

2-4 years’ experience is preferred

Responsibilities

Greets patients and assists with patient flow
Administers medications, performs procedures directed by physician and practitioners
Assists with preparatory activities such as taking and documenting vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height and weight, and communicates abnormalities to physician or practitioner
Reviews and documents patient medical history including medications, allergies, and medical alerts, documents in the electronic medical record
Contact patients with lab and test results and indicates required follow-up, as directed
Documents all medical contacts
Assists physician and practitioners with relaying instructions to patients and families
Replenishes supplies and removes biohazard waste from patient rooms as directed
Maintains any necessary logs
Participates in professional development activities to keep current with job responsibilities

Other duties as assigned
