Whether someone is sick with a cold or has an ear infection, Cleveland Clinic is here to help. Patients have walk-in convenience and treatment as soon as possible by outstanding caregivers. As an LPN on the Urgent Care team, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works variable days and hours between 8:00AM – 8:00PM.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
- Knowledge of infection control practices
- Experience with technology
- Computer literacy

Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients.
- Administer medication.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.
- Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
- Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
- Recognize changes in patients' status and report pertinent information to Charge Nurse or Physicians.
- Educate patients, families and others.
- Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
- Follow Code Blue protocol.
- Assessing; planning, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the patient's progress through the entire continuum of car in conjunction with the R.N. or physician.
