About The Position

Adena Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant for a full-time position in Occupational Health. The LPN will deliver comprehensive nursing care under the supervision of an RN, physician, or APP, utilizing foundational to moderate-complexity clinical skills. The Medical Assistant will provide direct patient care and administrative support under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional, also applying foundational to moderate-complexity clinical skills. Both roles contribute to optimal patient outcomes and efficient clinic operations.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing (for LPNs).
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required (for LPNs).
  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program (for MAs).
  • Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA) (for MAs).
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar capacity preferred (for LPNs).
  • 1-2 years’ experience in medical office or similar capacity (for MAs).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a similar capacity 1-2 years preferred (for LPNs).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a clinical setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or advanced practice provider (APP).
  • Provide safe, patient-centered care in accordance with established clinical policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize foundational to moderate-complexity clinical skills and knowledge in daily practice.
  • Contribute to optimal patient outcomes and efficient clinic operations.
  • Provide direct patient care.
  • Provide administrative support.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to uphold the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Align with organizational values by delivering compassionate, respectful, and effective care.
  • Adhere to the scope of practice defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing (for LPNs).
  • Adhere to the scope of practice for Medical Assistants (for MAs).
