About The Position

Join Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital’s team of caregivers, providing patient-centered healthcare in an organization recognized among the leading hospitals in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale and Florida regions. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality care to a diverse patient population and support the practices of two colorectal surgeons. You will collaborate with other caregivers and develop nursing skills through hands-on experience and educational resources across the Cleveland Clinic system. The position works days, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
• Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.
• Knowledge of infection control practices.
• Computer literacy.

Nice To Haves

• One year of outpatient clinical experience.
• General surgery experience.
• One to two years of LPN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients.
• Administer medication.
• Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.
• Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
• Perform pain management assessments and document them.
• Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
• Follow Code Blue protocol.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, monitor, and evaluate patient progress throughout the continuum of care in conjunction with an RN or physician.
• Use personal protective equipment and follow Standard Precautions as required for procedures.
