As an LPN in Allergy and Immunology, you will support multiple providers in delivering exceptional, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you will provide direct clinical support for allergy services, including skin testing, allergy injections, and serum mixing. You will also perform key administrative responsibilities, such as obtaining prior authorizations, coordinating with pharmacies for serum mixing, managing serum orders and deliveries across locations, and ordering skin patches and specialty biologics used within the department. Additionally, you will manage provider inboxes and prescriptions, room and discharge patients, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support high-quality patient care. Requirements

  • Graduate of Accredited LPN program
  • Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Certification
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Computer literacy

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients.
  • Administer medication.
  • Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.
  • Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
  • Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
  • Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
  • Follow Code Blue protocol.
