The LPN Ambulatory Team Lead combines clinical and administrative expertise to support patients and the interdisciplinary care team under the guidance of a physician or nurse. In partnership with nursing leadership, this role helps coordinate daily operations within the Pediatrics Department. You will work closely with pediatric patients to deliver high-quality care across the full patient journey, engaging with patients, families, and visitors to enhance their experience while providing education, guidance, and ongoing support. A caregiver in this position works at Main Campus from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an approved school of Practical Nursing
  • 3 years recent clinical experience as an LPN
  • Current demonstrated clinical proficiency
  • Current Ohio License as Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross required within new hire period

Responsibilities

  • Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about the patient.
  • Contribute observations and health information to the nursing assessment and reports all data to the RN or authorized directing health care provider.
  • Implement the current plan of nursing care at the direction of the RN, or the medication or treatment authorized by the authorized directing health care provider.
  • Document and verbally communicate the patient’s response to the nursing plan of care, or the medication or treatment including observing patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and performing routine laboratory tests.
  • Provide education and information to patients and family members.
  • Participate in the departmental orientation of new employees in a positive manner, share knowledge, experiences, and provide guidance when assigned and provide feedback to nursing leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, patient safety and HIPAA requirements and shares information with other team members.
  • Assume a lead role in quality initiatives and process improvement to improve patient outcomes, patient experience, and patient safety.
