About The Position

The facility offers complete pediatric care for newborns, infants, children, and adolescents, emphasizing healthy growth, development, and safety education. Services include prompt attention for acute problems like fever, earaches, and injuries, as well as preventive checkups, school physicals, and immunizations. The team collaborates with Cleveland Clinic pediatric specialists from Cleveland Clinic Children’s when necessary. A caregiver in this position works a day/evening rotation from 8:00am to 4:30pm or 8:00am to 8:00pm.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing
• Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross

Nice To Haves

• One year of patient care experience

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or physician
• Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients
• Complete nursing assessments and report all data
• Implement the current nursing care plan, medication or treatment and communicate patients’ responses
• Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments
• Perform routine laboratory tests
• Educate patients and family members
