This RN role is a dynamic opportunity to support a rapidly expanding pediatric team, including the addition of new providers and regional practice sites. You will partner closely with pediatric providers in clinic, preparing patients for visits, assisting with procedures, delivering education to families, and ensuring seamless clinical flow. In collaboration with the nursing team, you will also manage inbasket responsibilities such as MyChart messages, prior authorizations, prescription refills, and scheduling inquiries helping to create an efficient, patient-centered experience. As a valued member of the care team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences for patients and families from initial welcome to discharge. A caregiver in this position works part-time at Main Campus Wednesday through Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., followed by one week off before returning the next Wednesday. No weekends or holidays.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
  • Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
  • Administer medication and treatments.
  • Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
  • Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
  • Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
  • Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
  • Cover other nursing roles within the department.
  • Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.
